Pack and Pack+
Pack includes one active trip, all Packs, travellers and rooms, and joining shared trips. Pack+ adds unlimited active trips, creating shares and the cloud archive. Pack+ is a yearly auto-renewable subscription. Apple shows the exact price before you confirm. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account.
On your phone
Trips, Packs, travellers, notes, rooms and storage locations are saved in a local database. A local copy of shared trips lets you view data already received. Session identifiers are kept in the system’s secure storage. A local safety copy is kept when you restore an archive or import a file. Export creates a file on your phone that only you choose to save or share; Pack does not send it to any server.
Hosting and purpose
Supabase hosts shared trips, the technical session and Pack+ archives. Hosting region: European Union — Ireland (AWS eu-west-1). This data is used to run sharing and backup. An anonymous technical session is created at launch, with no e-mail or password. Service providers may process technical logs, including IP addresses, to operate and secure the service.
Purchases and changing phone
Apple processes payment; Pack never receives your bank details. Supabase verifies Apple transactions and keeps a purchase reference and its validity to manage Pack+. On a new iPhone, use Restore purchases with the same Apple account, then restore the proposed archive. Restoring links the Pack+ entitlement and ownership of shared trips to the new session. Do not delete the data on your old device before checking your backup. Without a recoverable archive, uninstalling may lose local data.
Who sees a shared trip?
Anyone with the code or QR code, valid for 7 days, can join the trip, check items and add new ones; only its creator can change the rest. A share contains the trip name, its dates, items, quantities, statuses and the names of the travellers concerned. Rooms and private notes are not included. The owner can revoke access; this does not erase copies already received by guests.
Camera
Camera access is requested only to scan a sharing QR code. You can refuse and type the code instead. Pack never sends scanner images to the server.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as you use Pack. Shared trips remain available to their participants until the share is revoked or the owner’s account is deleted. A Pack+ archive is kept while the subscription is active, then until you delete it. The host’s technical logs and automatic backups, where they exist, are erased within 7 days at most. Delete my data and account removes the session, the trips you own, their invitations, your participations and your archive from the live database, then the data on this phone. It does not remove copies kept on other devices and does not cancel your Apple subscription.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction, erasure and portability of your data by contacting the publisher. Deletion is also available in the app. Data needed for the service is processed to provide the features you request; the camera is optional. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
